If you recently signed up for a free trial and noticed a small transaction from GameFly on your statement, rest assured, you were not charged. A temporary authorization is performed against the card you provided as part of the registration process. This is a temporary charge and we do not receive any funds from the authorization. The authorization will clear in 3 to 5 business days, depending on your financial institution.
We require a valid card for all GameFly memberships, including free trials, to make sure that if you choose to stay a member after the free trial, or if you want to keep a game or movie during your trial membership, you're ready to go.
